Hybrid yoga spaces in Paris are nothing new; Parisians have long recognized the need to mix practice with pleasure, chic with savasana. To Slowe Wellness House, Yogamour, Maison Alaena and others Paris has added a new crop of yoga studios where you can quite literally spend a few hours on your mat followed by shopping, lunch, a CBD matcha latte, an art gallery visit…

You are currently reading the free edition of this newsletter. As we mentioned recently, we are slowly moving away from a regularly updated website to more focused, curated communication via email newsletter. A return to our roots, if you like. We hope you will enjoy this new way of sharing and consider upgrading to a paid subscription once we launch (don’t worry, it’s not happening overnight and we intend to tell you more about the details in an upcoming—free—newsletter.) Paid subscription has its advantages: you’ll receive exclusive content, the ability to comment and engage in the community, and much more.

THE NEXT DOOR

Our favorite of the crop, this intimate studio near République is perched above The Next Door, a boutique with a tight edit of streetwear, fragrance, magazines and objects. The retail and yoga staff are welcoming with an inclusive non-judgy view of what constitutes cool, and it really is fun browsing before and after class. We try not to miss Saturday morning sessions with Solenn whose balance of pranayama, flow and relaxation is an ideal way to start the weekend.

LE 110 HONORÉ

Within its 300 square meter walls, Le 110 Honoré houses an art gallery, a restaurant, a bar, and a yoga studio. One-hour classes are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at mid-day so you can schedule your practice in between appointments, meetings or lunch.

GROUND TO GROW

This café and yoga studio strikes a balance between vegan food and drink options (many of them gluten-free) and a full schedule of daily classes: Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin, Hatha Flow with some Restorative and Pilates thrown in.
